Kindle Vs Nook, Find Out Which One I Like More
If you are Looking for an e-reader, you found it? Kindle vs Nook? So which one is the best in my opinion? 11 points through which you can compare them are down below. I definitely prefer the Kindle. That is my personal experience. There are a lot of reasons to love the kindle. I can not make this decision for you. So her here are 11 points:
-Size: Nook is smaller than Kindle but not as compact. Still Kindle is thinner.
-Weight: Kindle is around 3oz lighter than the original Nook. 7oz lighter than Nook Color.
-Battery life: Nook lasts longer. Kindles battery lasts about 4 weeks if not using the Internet, old Nook lasts 2 weeks, but Nook Touch lasts 8 weeks, and Nook Color will last about 8 hours.
-Screen: although the Kindle 3 has a better contrast it is equal to new Nook Touch of 2011. Glare does not exist on both readers, except on the Nook Color, which uses an LCD monitor like an ipad.
-Navigation: This is the negative for Kindle: it uses real buttons and a toggle for navigation instead of touch screen, personal preference. Nook is touch screen at different sizes depending on the model.
-Memory: But this is what I love about Kindle and very important indeed since the whole idea of having an e-reader is to take your virtual library with you. Kindle has about double the memory compared to Nook, and the Nook Touch. The positive side for Nook: memory is expandable.
-Free books: Both offer free books Kindle has more. Nook will support .ePub public library books. But Kindle supports free .mobi books, and Kindle Books can be found at 11,000 public libraries.
-The greatest: Kindle 3 has 3G free Internet! Sorry to say that the Nook Touch and Color come only with WiFi.
-Rating: Kindle: 4.5,
Nook: 3.7 to 4.3.
-Price: Kindle is less expensive than Nook the book selection is greater, and you can’t beat Amazon. The eBooks are cheaper on Amazon too.
-Making the Kindle selection incredibly diverse, offering very low priced but high quality independent books, Kindle is smart, and makes it really easy for authors to publish their books on the Kindle.
This is all pointless when you get the new Kindle tablet for a mere $199.00 that can do everything an ipad can do, all I can say is get it now so you don’t have to stand in line.
Nook is good, you make the choice. Kindle will be hard to beat. With the exception of the glare I personally think that ibook browsers from the Ipad is better than Kindle.
