Kindle vs Nook, Kindle On Fire
If you are Looking for an e-reader, you found it? So what do you want: Kindle vs Nook? Find out which one I like more. Let me point out 11 points through which you can compare them. I really love the Kindle. That is my personal experience. Reasons to love the kindle are many. You will have to decide yourself. 11 points of comparison:
-The Size: Kindle is actually 40% thinner than Nook, and 1 inch taller.
-Weight: Kindle is about 1oz heavier than Nook Touch, and 7oz lighter than Nook Color, 3oz lighter than the original Nook.
-Battery life: Nook lasts longer. Kindles battery lasts about 4 weeks if not using the Internet, old Nook lasts 2 weeks, but Nook Touch lasts 8 weeks, and Nook Color will last about 8 hours.
-Screen:The Kindle 3 is just better than the original Nook fro contrast in the viewer, but it is the same as the new Nook Touch of 2011. Glare does not exist on both readers, except on the Nook Color, which uses an LCD monitor like an ipad.
-Navigation: This is a great thing that Kindle offers is the memory capacity. Nook is touch screen at different sizes depending on the model.
-Memory: But this is what I love about Kindle and very important indeed since the whole idea of having an e-reader is to take your virtual library with you. Compared to the original Nook, and the Nook Touch, Kindles internal memory is twice larger. Then again Kindle 3 can not be expanded, but Nooks are expandable, I just don’t like giving out extra money.
-Free books: Both offer free books Kindle has more. Nook supports the public library books epuB. But Kindle supports free .mobi books, and Kindle Books can be found at 11,000 public libraries.
-3G Connection: This is the coolest: Kindle has 3G free real Internet! Sorry to say that the Nook Touch and Color come only with WiFi.
-Rating: Kindle: 4.5,
Nook: 3.7 to 4.3.
-Price: eBooks are cheaper on Amazon, and Kindle is cheaper than Nook.
-Kindle is smart, and makes it really easy for authors to publish their books on the Kindle, making the Kindle selection incredibly diverse, offering very low priced but high quality independent books.
Then again if you get the new Kindle tablet Fire for a mere $199.00 that can do everything an ipad can do, personally there is no compression.
They will have to do something big to over run the Kindle. Nook isn't bad, but it has a long way to go. The Ipad is actually better than Kindle with its ibook browser.
