Toronto - A Clean, Exquisite, And Multicultural City
One of the most ethnically diverse cities in the world is Toronto, Ontario. While it's the most populated city in Ontario, it isn't like many other big cities in the world, thanks to the cleanliness and beauty of the city itself. If you are thinking of traveling to Toronto, your first step is to get an expedited new United States passport.
If you are in the market to get a new passport or any other sort of passport-related service, check out online passport vendors. They make it possible to get a passport in the smallest time frame possible, and even make it easy to get passport renewals, a replacement for a stolen or lost U.S. online passport, and a lot more.
A great way to experience Toronto is to simply walk. There are tons of interesting neighborhoods, and the city itself is actually pretty, unlike many other metropolitan areas. There are plenty of natural areas, including the Toronto Botanical Gardens. If you are looking for the best views of the city, head to the top of the CN Tower, the tallest tower in the world. From the top, you can even see Niagara Falls.
Toronto has quite a selection of microbreweries for those interested in beer. Many of them don't hesitate to offer free samples, and a few even have restaurants. Steam Whistle Brewery offers an inexpensive tour where you can learn about the brewery's interesting history, as well as getting plenty of free beer and a souvenir too.
One landmark you absolutely cannot miss is Casa Loma, a breathtaking castle built in the early 1900's. Meant to replicate the castles of the Medieval period, it features impressive towers, secret passageways, an 800-foot tunnel, a notable collection of fine art, 98 rooms, and beautiful gardens.
There are a good variety of museums in Toronto, and if you only have time to visit one, make it the Royal Ontario Museum. You'll probably find it very hard to resists investigating further after catching a glimpse of its unique exterior. There are thousands of things on display in over 20 exhibits, including the world's tallest totem pole. Subjects of these exhibits vary wildly, from dinosaurs to Medieval Europe to Canada's native populations.
For a great shopping experience, there are plenty of places you can go, and St. Lawrence Market is one of them. You'll find cuisine from every corner of the world in this market, as well as some fun and eclectic flea markets in this old Victorian building, a building that was once City Hall. Just a few blocks away is Yonge Street, which holds the Guinness World Record for being the longest main street. On this street, you'll find the World's Largest Bookstore (a name that carries truth!), record shops, bargain clothing shops, souvenir stores, and more. Also check out the oldest train station in Canada, Union Station, which is located on the street and is absolutely gorgeous.
If you are looking for the perfect big-city vacation destination, check out Toronto. The amount of fun things to do, combined with how clean and well-kept the city is, make it a great spot to visit. Just remember that you'll need a passport first and that you can get an expedited new pass port on the Internet. If you have a lost pasport, online passport services can help you with that, too.
